Multi-factor authentication is an important part of your security profile. Many websites and apps have implemented multi-factor authentication to help keep you safe, but it’s typically an option you need to turn on.
Why is multi-factor authentication (MFA) so important? Even if a hacker has gotten ahold of your password, having MFA activated makes it extremely difficult for them to access your information. MFA adds additional levels of verification to get in your accounts. It can come in the form of a code sent to your phone or email, an approval using a standalone authenticator app, or a facial scan or fingerprint on your smartphone.
Use this week as a reminder to log into your accounts and apps and set up multi-factor authentication!
