Here are 5 questions that you should ask a potential Acumatica provider (and our responses).

What is included in an Acumatica subscription?

Acumatica is a subscription-based solution, and your subscription will vary depending on your industry and the modules needed. With each subscription you can opt to deploy on-premise, in the public cloud, or in a private cloud. You also get unlimited users, which can include customers and vendors.

The subscription price you are quoted should be all-inclusive, meaning:

  • Cost of deployment
  • Upgrades
  • Ongoing support
  • Training on new features and of new staff

The only time your subscription price should change is if additional modules are requested.

How quickly can we migrate to Acumatica?

A properly managed Acumatica migration can be set up and functional within a day to a week, rather than months.

Acumatica is a very easy solution to learn — training can be completed within 30 days, and a full system can be up and functioning within 90 days.

What’s more, it includes a lot of functionality by default, minimizing the need for costly customization. 

How much history can we bring over?

One of the main reasons Acumatica can be migrated so quickly is because of the minimal need to bring forward history. Using business intelligence (BI), data from the old system can be merged with Acumatica data, so your historical reporting and ability to see past transactions are maintained without the need a costly and time-consuming data migration.

What does ongoing Acumatica support look like?

Acumatica releases major updates twice a year and supports releases for 2 years. As for your provider,

  • All upgrades — including consulting — should be included in your subscription price
  • Any questions you have should be promptly responded to at no additional cost
  • You should get complimentary monthly or quarterly visits from an account manager to ensure you are maximizing the value of your Acumatica solution
