Jim founded the firm in 1971 with Dennis Buhl. He began his accounting career in 1966, when he received his accounting certificate from the Academy of Accountancy in Minneapolis and got his first public accounting job as a staff accountant for I.A. Balto and Company. Jim specializes in tax planning and preparation, consulting, and the preparation of financial statements for privately held businesses. He is known for excellent tax planning and a dry sense of humor. Currently, Jim serves as treasurer of the Metropolitan Breakfast Club. His recreational interests vary by season. In the summer, he fishes and plays golf. In the winter, he frequently takes to the slopes to keep up his downhill skiing skills.
Jim is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. |
